The 79-year-old US President made the unusual admission during an appearance on Fox and Friends, just a day after hosting European leaders, including Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at the White House. Linking his legacy to global diplomacy, Trump remarked that if he succeeds in brokering peace between Ukraine and Russia, it might help secure him a place in the afterlife.

We require the headline match the article, looks like they might have changed it up on you.

    Current headline reads:

“Pictures of Trump’s Swollen Ankles and Hands Boost Health Rumours After He Admits He’s ‘Not Doing Well’”

Please make it match up or we’ll have to remove it.

Is there a time limit if they change the headline after it’s posted? It’s also not uncommon to have an A and B headline that different people see, when they’re both correct.

It varies, if a headline is obviously manipulated by the user, I remove it with the note and when they fix it, I’ll restore it.

In cases like this where the mismatch is substantially the same, I’ll post up the warning and give them 8 hours or so to fix it, then remove it.

I figure people have to, you know, work and sleep and stuff.

OTOH, after a few hours, if they’re making other posts and comments, it’s clear they aren’t reaponding to the warning and I’ll remove it.

    The headline is entirely inaccurate.

    From the article:

Donald Trump has sparked fresh health concerns after confessing he is ‘not doing well’ when it comes to his chances of getting into heaven.

In a way it’s more interesting that Trump has some awareness that he’s not a good guy.

People are so desperate to hear that either Trump or Putin is about to die, these stories have been popping up every few months for a decade or more.

At this point, they have like a 5-7% chance of dying every year based on actuary tables. So dying at any point at that age isn’t remarkable or unlikely. But there’s like a 0-8 year range where it’s likely to occur based on that.

I’d rather him experience some level of fucking consequences for once in his life. But for the sake of humanity I will also accept his health failing.

He’s looks especially awful these last few weeks.

As for a place in the afterlife, you don’t get to sell your soul then try to get into heaven.

you don’t get to sell your soul then try to get into heaven.

That’s pretty much exclusively what American Christianity is today.

All the way back during the election I noticed the damn orange makeup kept looking worse than usual and it took a bit to put my finger on why, but then it clicked - as he gets paler, the contrast between the orange and his actual skin gets more and more pronounced. Look at his ears. Dude is pasty as all fuck.

Article is shit. Doesn’t include the quote or context. At least I didn’t see it in the reader version that loaded for me. That said, hearing his quote in full context, I interpreted that as he doesn’t feel he is doing well in terms of honorable/benevolent deeds or accomplishments. I may be wrong, I guess you could hear it either way, but that’s the impression I got.

The clock is ticking on him, but we will be the last to know what time it is. (Or something like that. Sounded poetic in my head)

tl;dnr I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don’t think he is saying that he is dying soon.

I guess he’s partially correct in that if we are to believe in a heaven, you don’t get there by raping women and fucking little girls. It raises the question of whether you can be lifelong rapist and pedophile and then do a good deed to erase the bad. As if it’s based on some kind of morality point system.

In Christian theology, it’s mostly explicitly not based on works but solely on baptism and 100% forgiveness of sin. Depending on how you interpret the theology repentance can be required though, not just asking for forgiveness.
