Trump is nearing his life’s term limit. A 3rd term from him personally is not particularly concerning. That’s still a red line in the sand that we should never allow anyone to cross but I’ll be surprised if he makes it through his current term in good enough condition to even pretend to be in charge.

I wouldn’t keep working for this administration even if I thought there was some good I could do from within. There’s a whole host of moral arguments one could raise in defense of quitting, but self preservation is the best one. I wouldn’t want to find myself defending my decision after this is all over with something like “no seriously guys, I was undercover the whole time”. Would you?

Video seems to show an agent pulling the gun from the back of his waist. It could have been tucked in his belt but most people with a concealed carry license use an actual holster. An IWB (inside waist band) holster is my educated guess. Some holsters have space for an extra magazine or he could have had one tucked away in any pocket.

Why is everyone slow playing everything with this clown show? They were legally required to release all the files two weeks ago. Where are the consequences for refusing to comply with a court order? Why bother issuing orders at all if compliance is optional?

The legislative branch ceding power to the executive branch is already unconstitutional. The biggest problem with Trump is not that the terrible things he does are legal, it’s that no one is willing to enforce the law and stop him. Without a way to enforce them the words written on dusty pieces of paper are completely irrelevant.

I bet this is exactly the kind of thing German citizens were saying to each other in the 30s.

Obama certainly acted like a centrist but that’s not how he campaigned which means that’s not what won him the election.

The last time there was another option on the table he became the first black president in our nation’s history. Perhaps there’s a lesson to be learned there.

That’s what they said about far left black men until Obama came along running as a progressive and won handily. For some reason we didn’t learn any lessons from that and went right back to boring centrist candidates afterwards.

We’ve proven we don’t like centrist women with status quo platforms pretty convincingly. Anything more is speculative imo.

You don’t have to say this to be a decent person. Pacifism is not synonymous with good or moral. There are people in this world that I think you would be immoral to not wish violence upon.
