FUCK AMY KLOBUCHAR!!! JESUS CHRIST I tucking hate that fucking woman. First Tina Smith and now WALZ!!! Does their moral clarity upset this fucking nepobaby so much that she needs them GONE? Her two biggest agendas are making sure every Palestinian on Earth is myrdered and bird law. Why why why the fuck do people on this state listen to this fucking ghoul?? She has the political instincts of a fucking washcloth. I was at his launch rally and almost booed when she went up to speak. She probably couldn’t fucking wait to sabotage that progressive shit as soon as she could, without putting nothing across her own fucking chest of fucking course. FUCK AMY KLOBUCHAR!!!

Spelling, Jesus Christ I am so pissed I can’t even type

Klobuchar is such a clown, exact wrong type of politician for this moment. Milquetoast democrats like her will serve the country up to Trump 3 on a silver platter.

It has been claimed that the scene from Veep (great TV show, by the way) where one of the aides describe how they were shaving the VPs legs under the desk for her was inspired by an actual rumor surrounding Amy Klobuchar

I honestly think he dropped the ball on this fraud story. I’m still piecing together all the facts but the minute this story broke he should have been all over it.

A lot of the misinformation is coming from people that don’t even live in the state and he could have used this as an opportunity to make the job market a little better for his constituents by actually going after some of the fraud that IS happening and making statements about it.

A lot of the stuff I’m seeing I don’t even know if it’s true or not but it looks REALLY bad on Minnesota.

They never should have reined him in. That and calling Republicans “weird”, but then again tell me one thing that has transpired since the election that isn’t in the interests of wealthy Democratic Party donors.

Because R doesn’t care about jack shit, but if you run a D campaign it’s purity tests all the way down. If he said the wrong thing about Tibet he’s fucked, because the “big tent” on the left is fucking stupid and self-cannibalizing.

I’m convinced 10% of the left “tent” is saboteurs screaming these purity tests and 90% of the real left are afraid of looking racist / sexist / whatever, so they go along with stuff they know is bullshit but are scared to say.

Meanwhile, the right then uses those cases to smear and discredit the left.

A fucking pedo lunatic is running the country the only purity test I want to see is are you ready to fucking stand up for people and fight?

Thinking about it, it’s probably not a terrible move on his part, overall. Dems can probably retain the governorship and this frees him to do other things. His replacement is probably worse, but it’s not like he’s retiring (although with how awful people are to him and his family, taking a break might be a good personal move… he has compassion and the attacks on his family probably really hurt).

That’s a bummer to bring up. Except he admitted to what he did (which by 2025 standards is super benign) and felt shame over it. I don’t get the same sense here. What did Franken end up doing anyway? Podcasting?

It was fucking benign back then too. Democrats just have no will to fight, and would rather SaVe ThE dIgNiTy Of ThE pArTy and resign instead of actually pushing back against republican smear campaigns.

I hate that they are our best option.

Says it would be an unprecedented 3rd term. Probably good then. Maybe him and Amy Klobuchar can switch places.

One wonders whether he’s thinking about a presidential run in 2028. He certainly has some experience in that department.

He could. It definitely wasn’t his fault they lost. If anything he was the most exciting thing they did. Then he just got tucked under a pillow.

News of Walz’s decision was reported Monday morning by Axios. The report cited “mounting pressure from fellow Democrats” and “sagging approval ratings” for the two-term governor.

But sagging approval ratings and intensified scrutiny into fraud in state programs in recent months has fueled nerves among Democrats and calls for Walz to step aside.

I mean, he’s obviously being targeted by MAGAts with a smear campaign, because he had the AUDACITY to run on a ticket against Trump.
