you do know that they won’t stop, right?

best case scenario, this becomes like a Terry Fox moment, where school children in the states have one day a year where they go outside and the local police pretend to shoot them, and then teachers give a lesson afterwards on how it was so terrible that Charlie Kirk was shot at a school, but when it happens to them in 2 years it’s just God’s plan

*to be clear, by best case scenario, I mean in terms of frequency and impact, where it’s just a one day a year event that people can easily ignore if they choose to. The rest was obviously my own embellishment

She supports him. She is with him. I get tired of the tropes. She is nothing more than one of them. A traitor.

This I kinda don’t get, in that this is probably the most vanilla thing you’d expect to hear from basically anyone of any religion about their spouse not following it.

Well if she does she’d probably be better at any religion than her husband who converted to catholicism then insisted on picking fights with a dying pope, killing him.

Jesus christ, how much therapy are these kids gonna need? They’ve already had to watch their father apologize to fucking white supremacists for his wife not being white during the campaign, if they haven’t already I’m sure they’re destined to hear incessantly about him fucking couches, this shit now, and I’m sure somewhere around 500k other things I’ve already forgotten about by now

So people want him to (1) believe that the Catholic faith is essential for eternal salvation but also (2) not care whether or not his wife is Catholic? That wouldn’t make any sense. Of course any Catholic who cares about his loved ones is going to hope that they convert to Catholicism.
