They’ve been trying to spin literally any protests or even just token resistance as criminal, and rural voters, by and large, absolutely believe that cities are hives of crime and iniquity.
I expect sooner or later, there will be a big massacre where protestors are shot down. Surprised it hasn’t happened yet
It’s not just that: I have a brother who’s not even that conservative but seems to sincerely believe the Gaza protests on college campuses are terrorism and Trump is justified in cutting medical research associated with those colleges
It’s not just rural voters. I was just at a dentist apt in suburban Washington and the hygienist was talking about how her son just moved away from California and that she was glad he was getting away because of “how bad the crime has gotten in California”.
Sounds like my province where everyone is home Shillong there kids cause they think the teachers are making them gay or trans.
