Y’all are missing the big lead: this stops ANY regulation that costs over $100m. Which is…a good chunk of them. Just monitoring can cost a huge chunk of cash.

I was about to say, you know what happened at every workplace I’ve ever been at when I did excellent work? I got more work piled onto me. I didn’t get a raise, I didn’t get a promotion or any recognition other than that excellent work being recognized as my new baseline.
Eventually, you just decide to stop caring too much and settle for mediocrity because it’s a hell of a lot easier than busting your ass for forty hours a week, so why bother doing that if you aren’t getting anything for actually doing good work?

Actually yes, this is something a lot of GOP hardliners have been crowing about for decades. I remember a decent amount of people who wanted a public hanging for the 9/11 guys.

This is his strategy. He thinks diplomacy is just walking into the boardroom and saying “alright, what do you want” so long as it’s not YOUR stuff you’re giving up. Trump is perfectly happy to give up OTHER PEOPLE’S STUFF, other people’s territory and homes and even lives so long as it’s not HIS stuff, HIS territory, HIS life.
You can also film them. Doxxing Nazis is a time-tested method, because even in the modern climate, a lot of them do not want to be known as “hey aren’t you that guy who was at that neo Nazi march” around the coffee maker at work on Monday.
In fact, we have so much random bullshit laying around from previous wars that we ship it off to allied nations pretty regularly - then we STILL had so much that we started selling it to random police departments and mercenary outfits in the US with the stipulation that the DoD can just roll up and take it back if they really need it.

Having quite a few family members like this, trust me when I say there’s plenty of them who THINK they would happily deal with an economic crash if it meant that black/brown/gay/leftist people starved to death.
