My father used to translate books and managed about a page per hour with an editor to offer notes. I stand by 2-3 weeks to manually translate 50 pages of dialogue and exposition to a great, shippable quality. It’s more difficult when the subject matter is this disjointed, but I don’t imagine it would slow someone down by more than 4x. Particularly if there are notes on tone and premise available.
A good translation of a game with only like 50 pages of text. They could bust out a passable translation within a week. How long would a great one take? Like two, three weeks to write?

I don’t understand the premise of frequent recesses, anymore. They seemed reasonable when people were traveling by horse and buggy and required 2-4 weeks to get back to their district, but now? In the era of phones and planes, why do they still deserve to get half the year off?

Brief anecdote. In school, we used to draw swastikas on everything in order to get others in trouble or to make ourselves seem like assholes. At no point did we consider what we were doing ok, it was just kids riding the edge of something they couldn’t understand for the sake of ignominy. Even we, as ignorant as we were, recognized that the swastika was a hate symbol and thoroughly unacceptable, we were, again, just assholes.
I’ve been saying this quite a lot but this culture war bodes poorly.
