Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty, who announced the charges at a news conference, accused the pair of entering polling places during state primary election voting on Aug. 11 and identifying themselves using names of registered voters in those precincts without those voters’ knowledge or permission.

“Both men stopped short of signing the oath we all sign before receiving our ballot,” she said. “But Minnesota law states clearly that no individual shall intentionally misrepresent their identity in applying for a ballot.”

The pair of influencers disguised themselves and recorded themselves going undercover using hidden cameras at the polling places. They posted videos capturing their interactions on social media in August. O’Keefe said in a post on X that they dressed in “Muslim garb” — including, for one of them, a full-face veil known as a niqab — and their goal was to “expose the sheer lunacy of Minnesota’s ‘vouching’ system.”

This is remarkably stupid. Someone could do a crime, so I’ll record myself doing said crime Then post to social media and prove it is possible

I mean, someone could rob a bank, or steal a car. Should we record ourselves giving it a shot?

Even people posting their crimes on the Internet have better reasons than these two.

People don’t refrain from crimes because it’s not possible. If so, we wouldn’t need a criminal justice system.

The more I think about it, the dumber it gets.

Lone nuts really need to reassess their choice of targets if this cunt is still walking around in 2026.

and their goal was to “expose the sheer lunacy of Minnesota’s ‘vouching’ system.”

They’re gonna claim they were trying to uncover fraud, as directed by Trump’s bounty system.

So if this asshole gets prosecuted, does someone win a million bucks from Trump?

About as likely as the snitch getting the payout of the “bounty,” on Luigi Mangione. Roughly halfway between a snowball’s chance in the first plane of Hell, and the likelyhood that Orca learn to fly.

I’ll even allow for an Orca piloted aircraft to fit the definition of the conditions of the second hyperbole.

Known fraud demonstrates why voter fraud basically never happens, hopefully rots in jail.

I dunno how onerous the usual punishment is for trying this - but any judge should see a pattern of abusive recidivism. He’s not going to learn unless you hit him harder. Or maybe he’ll never learn, and it’s for everyone’s benefit if his dumb ass is kept off the streets.
