Maybe they shouldn’t volunteer to murder civilians abroad then? They weren’t drafted and the US is in war all the time so it’s always a safe bet that if you join the military you’ll kill someone or help kill someone
There’s an immense difference between a conscripted person dying in a war versus a volunteer soldier dying in an aggressive war of choice. You’re arguing for sympathy for the modern equivalent of the fucking SS on their way to roll through Eastern Europe

Let’s not forget Smedley Butler’s conclusions on war the U.S. has waged as well. And then, the numerous war crimes that have gone unpunished. U.S. soldiers volunteered fully willingly and have committed them.
And then, evidently the bombing of boats in the Caribbean and the bombing of civilians in Iran means nothing to you either, those were carried out under orders that they did not question.
I have zero sympathy for those who sign up to murder other people around the world. Pretty much every war the US has been in has been a war of aggression. American troops willingly sign up to destroy other countries and murder civilians there to uphold empire. They are the scum of the earth.
