To call messaging the biggest shortcoming I think is doing a lot of heavy lifting to talk past a lot of the generally abhorrent things.
Personally I find maintaining and funding genocide to be a much more substantial shortcoming than messaging largely because the whole world saw the admin lying to us for 2 whole years without even batting an eye and it was one of the most substantive reasons Trump is now in power.

I think democrats lost because people were racist and sexist, people didn’t feel spoken too by someone with charisma (partially tied to the first, but also shes literally an EX DA…), the world has been seeing a bad shift in key metrics, and people who don’t pay attention just blame that on whoever is currently in power.
