They were actually still worthwhile up into Korea but the Korean war is the weird middle child between WW2 and Vietnam that everyone forgets about.
It’s not that I forgot about the Korean War, it’s that I wasn’t aware it had any significant naval component for which battleships were relevant.
They were used for artillery along coastal regions, while not exactly the designated purpose of such ships it was highly effective. But yeah it was basically the last hoora of an aging design that had already started to become obsolete.
