Donald Trump in an interview with NBC News Sunday, confirmed that he plans to attend an unusual meeting organized by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that will gather hundreds of senior military officers near Washington on Tuesday.
Hegseth last week summoned hundreds of senior military leaders, who are stationed all over the world, to Washington for a meeting of the Pentagon’s top brass.
Senior admirals and generals were not informed beforehand about the purpose of the meeting.

But that aside, I wouldn’t be super shocked if this turns into loyalty pledge-a-palooza. Which would be… interesting.
The OPSEC incompetence is staggering, but he’s an idiot who failed in basic operational security multiple times so should we be surprised?

It almost seems like a setup to pledge fealty just one day before the government shuts down. But of course, it’s common practice to pull 800 generals and admirals from their global stations and place them in a single room in front of Trump.
So they do plan to have the generals swear an oath on him personally…
