A CBS News investigation found discrepancies between the government's description of the Jeffrey Epstein jail video and what the video shows.

On top of the missing minute, there’s the following discrepancies (and many more that I don’t remember off hand)

  • The camera footage is at an angle where you can’t see one of the staircases to Epstein’s cell. Someone could easily avoid that camera.
  • There’s a 3rd person that comes in at 12:05 that’s not identified in the report
  • The aspect ratio changes halfway through, suggesting a bad splicing
  • You can see a mouse cursor at one point

To add on to OP’s discrepancy bullet list, the aspect ratio changed after the missing minute and the meta data says “saved” a few times. Meaning, it isn’t raw data, there’s no way.

    Yeah I’m gonna confidently say the moon landing was 100% not faked if this is how incompetent the government is. Not that there was ever any doubt before

    The video rolls, almost uninterrupted, for the next 11 hours. At 6:30 a.m., corrections officers can be seen rushing across the frame. The Justice Department later disclosed that that’s when Epstein’s body was discovered.

    Over the course of the night, the staff on duty failed to conduct the required 30-minute check-ins on Epstein while he spent the night alone in his cell.

    How convenient! They missed 22 required check-ins on the night he was murdered died by suicide. Sure, sure, sure.

      To be fair, they missed those check-ins the night before as well as the previous week. They had been sleeping on the job and lying about it, but no one checked the tapes until Epstein died.

          Why would the guard edit the footage? They were fired years ago and the edit was likely a few weeks back.

        And probably guards missed checkins at every prison across the country. Prisons are hardly hiring the best of the best. Guards are not the most honest and competent employees in the world.

    Employees told investigators that Epstein had just finished an unmonitored call, later reported to have been with his girlfriend in Belarus.
