There isn’t any saving this country. When the opposition to fascism is center right corporate friendly sockpuppets. We don’t have a future. Just a couple more cycles of limp wristed milquetoast liberal handwringing followed by fascist accelerationism by Republicans. Rinse repeat until society/economy collapses. All because the Dems can’t say “enough is enough” to their billionaire donors.

This isn’t surprising. The DNC is run by high-dollar consultants who only care about raking in donations. If the Democrats want votes they need policies that support working families. And yeah, Trump is the worst and I would still vote for a Democrat over a fascist, but most Americans never recovered from the 2008 financial crisis and now we are headed into another one. If the Democrats manage to take control in 2028 will they retain the policies that funneled the recovery into the top 1% again?

Trump is viewed favorably by 45% and unfavorably by 52%, while Republicans are viewed favorably by 43% and unfavorably by 54%.

That’s status quo for any Trump related poll. His supporters always push results in the 45-47% range.

So nothing’s changed with Trump, it’s literally just the Democrats who shit the bed.

I couldn’t tell. Was it democrats sentiment about their own party? Or all Americans?

‘Cause yeah liberals hate the democrats right now. They’re ineffective and work towards keeping their wealthy donors happy. That’s not an indictment on the principles. Just that Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi can fuck off.

As long as the controlled opposition that is the DNC fails to support the American people, the American people will look for an alternative to MAGA elsewhere.

“Rock bottom” implies the dems wont keep going down in favorability. I dunno about that. I dont see the DNC changing much of anything, and they are circling to attack Mamdani which will be lower their popularity even more.

Wont stop the DNC from using all their abilities to fight the left in their own party as their job #1. The old guard dems are hopeless.

According to the survey of 1,500 registered voters, which was conducted between July 16 and 20, a whopping 63% of the public views the Democratic Party unfavorably — “the highest share in Journal polls dating to 1990.” Just 33%, meanwhile, have a favorable view.

Both President Donald Trump and the GOP are also underwater, but not by nearly the margins the Democrats are. Trump is viewed favorably by 45% and unfavorably by 52%, while Republicans are viewed favorably by 43% and unfavorably by 54%.

“Favorably” is doing a hell of a lot of lifting here.

What’s more is that voters believe Republicans in Congress are better suited to handle the economy, inflation, immigration, illegal immigration, tariffs, foreign policy and Ukraine. The only issues Democrats boast advantages with are healthcare and vaccines.

I can’t even conceive of this. That’s beyond comprehension.

John Anzalone, the Democratic pollster responsible for working on the poll alongside longtime Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio, commented on the results by observing that ““The Democratic brand is so bad that they don’t have the credibility to be a critic of Trump or the Republican Party.”

Okay well that’s like the third red flag already in, what, five paragraphs?

“Until they reconnect with real voters and working people on who they’re for and what their economic message is, they’re going to have problems,” he added.

“Real voters AND working people”. Got it.

The survey’s margin of error is 2.5%, and respondents were contacted on their landlines and cell phones.

Hello? Why yes I’d love to take fifteen minutes to answer some very important questions as to my specific thoughts and situation.

Anyone here do that? Anyone know someone who would? Is that person kind of a dick? Yeah.

I don’t know ANYONE with a land line. That includes boomers. None of my boomer family members have one. I can’t imagine what kind of person still does.
