Trump has never done his own taxes. He genuinely does not understand how taxes work on any level.

He desperately wants to use a nuclear weapon. I would not be surprised if he does so.

States are well within their power to ignore most of this. They don’t answer to the executive branch.

These yahoos are both from the Federal Fiscal Sustainability Foundation, which is a conservative Republican think tank with ties to ALEC. Nothing they say should be taken at face value. They only serve billionaire interests.

The reality is that the Republican controlled congress isn’t going to send him any bills, but it shows how profoundly ignorant the President is to articulate a useless threat.

If Trump had ever taken a civics class, he’d probably have learned that if a bill sits on his desk for 10 days while congress is in session, it will pass without his signature.

Only an idiot fights a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts.

So if she stayed in the role after submitting her resignation (presumably talked into staying by her boss) and stayed because there was nobody to replace her and now she has been removed from the role, then who is doing her job?

I am convinced that polling is completely broken. There’s no methodology that works anymore because scam callers have basically destroyed telephones as an information-gathering resource and online polling is very easily compromised.

The federal government’s criteria for being considered a member of Tren de Aragua is 1. being Venezuelan and 2. having any tattoo - despite the gang not using tattoos as an identifying marker. Considering I can barely get into the CostCo parking lot for all the people there, I suspect their boycott will amount to little.

It makes me nauseous that my government is responsible for this senseless horror. The military can make no claim to honor when they bomb unarmed men clinging desperately to the burning wreck of the boat that was already illegally bombed.

That’s what my dad always told me when I was growing up as a brat; refusing to obey an illegal order isn’t a choice, it’s a requirement. You must not follow illegal orders, if you do you are committing a crime.
