For both users and content creators to actually use alternative platforms. Platforms like Odysee and Rumble exist but, for the most part, only “certain types” of people actually use them at the moment, which currently turns off most of the people that would be otherwise interested in using them.

There are some good content creators who use them, like how both SomeOrdinaryGamers and Louis Rossmann have channels on Odysee, but having only a few content creators isn’t going to be enough to make the platforms pop off over night.

I’m not sure about buffalo wings because I haven’t had any recently but I do know that I do have a noticeable spice tolerance. For some hot sauces, like sriracha, I do need a good amount per bite before I can actually notice it.

A few months ago, we had to through away half of a pecan pie because one of our cats got into it. We’ve actually had to start making sure that we put everything away because he’ll get into almost anything, bread, butter, pastries, vegetables, meats and pretty much anything that’s in either a plastic/paper bag or a cardboard box even if it’s not food.

Firefox, they recently added a new profiles system and it seems like it might be conflicting with the old profiles system. I actively use two instances of Firefox and when ever I try to launch both instances in the morning, I keep getting error messages. So, I have to keep restarting Firefox until it lets me actually launch both instances. I’d actually like to use the new profiles system because it seems so much more convenient but there doesn’t seem to be a way to migrate profiles from the old system to the new system.

I think it might have been released to some capacity, but Metric made a song called Black Sheep but they didn’t release it because they didn’t like that it sounded “to much like Metric”. This song was redone for the movie Scott Pilgrim VS. the World, where they had Brie Larson sing the lyrics.

As much as I like Anime, I don’t watch it that often, so I’d be okay with just video games.

Not really, but I’m not against it. When you remember that in order to even get the death penalty, you have to be such a horrible person that you’re pretty much no longer human, I don’t see a problem with it. And then there is also the issue of the government has to pay potentially millions of dollars every years just for keeping you in prison/jail, so it also has financial benefits (not that the government needs more money, especially considering the fact that they constantly waste it on meaningless bullshit).

But I am also aware of the potential problems, like innocent people getting the death penalty. As a result, I think the death penalty should only be used in situations where there is absolutely no possibility of innocence. This means that the motive is clear and proven, and the evidence for even committing the crime(s) is/are solid.

I literally just finished the 3D remake of Final Fantasy 3 (PC version) before coming here. After I’m done here, I’m going to start playing Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe.

I also somewhat recently finished the original PC version of Doom 3 and it’s expansion pack. I understand why people don’t like it as much as Doom 1 and 2 but I still think the game was good.

I’m still pretty new to Mastodon, so I don’t really know much about it yet. But, on top of hashtags that you follow, could it be posts that are shared (or boosted, as Mastodon seems to call it) by another user that you follow?

I gave up dating several years ago. It’s mainly because I’m too much of an introvert for relationships. I had a few girlfriends back in high school but obviously none of them were successful, as they just didn’t feel right for me. Some people, like me, just aren’t cut out for dating.

Mainly just notifications from app stores like Google Play, F-Droid and Nutaku. I do occasionally receive notifications from other apps such as Google Opinion Rewards and Proton Mail. Then very rarely, I do also receive calls and texts but it’s mostly just scams and otherwise unknown numbers.

As for your side question, I used to because it used to be useful. Several years ago, Google broke YouTube’s email notifications and refused to fix it. Then at some point, they acted like no one wanted them and just removed them. Luckly, RSS feeds still work, YouTube doesn’t tell you they exist but they do.

There are a lot of things that make me happy to at least some degree. Just going in order of what I remember, there is, finding uses for older pieces of technology, listening to music that is upbeat and “energetic” (if that’s the right word to use), playing games with good gameplay and stories (even if they can get depressing sometimes), and while it’s been a while since I’ve last watching one, watching Anime can also make me happy. There are also some other things but I’ve either forgotten them or I just don’t feel like mentioning them.

It’s not a perfect solution but something that I do, is anything that requires my full attention and prevents me from thinking about them.

I too am currently having this problem because I can get easily attached to fictional characters. I’ve been playing Honkai Impact 3rd, which is my first time playing a Mihoyoverse game, and the story (at least part 1, I’m not in part 1.5 or 2 yet) is so tragic, that I’ve developed an attachment to the characters. I’ve been trying to take breaks from playing, so I can focus on other things, but I get depressed if I go too long without playing it.

On Linux, I’m using Firefox as my main browser and Vivaldi as my secondary browser.

On android, some of my devices have Firefox, some of them have Fennec F-Droid and the devices that don’t have very much storage space have Via Browser. If you’re wondering why I have both Firefox and F-Droid’s Fennec, it’s because I used to just use Fennec but then at some point F-Droid announced that Fennec was outdated and it was missing several security updates that were present in Firefox. I switched to Firefox on the devices I use browsers on more actively but I didn’t see a reason to switch all of them.

I haven’t tried that many hot sauces but I like hot sauces that have a good mix of both heat and flavor. What I prefer depends on what I’m eating, so sometimes I prefer Tapatio and other times I prefer (real) Sriracha. I do also sometimes use other hot sauces like the ghost pepper ranch from Wendy’s when I can get them.

Yeah, blood has a smell. I don’t know why but some people can’t smell it at all, while some people can smell it from pretty far way. I’ve never tested exactly how sensitive I am to the smell but, for example, if a woman is having her time of the month, I can usually smell it from several feet away.

I had the cliche phase of thinking that I was a vampire because a combination of a few things. I have a problem with my teeth where it caused my “K9s” to protrude outwards, I don’t have a normally detectable pulse and I’ve always been able to smell other peoples blood from abnormally far away but I can never smell my own. I know now that these are things that can happen to anyone but back then, I didn’t know any better.

I somewhat recently had a pretty weird dream that I was a lust demon who helped other demons fight evil demons.

It starts off with me being back in high school but I noticed that something was off. All the girls there were very interested in me, even going as far as the try and flash me when they walked past. At the end of the day, I had to stay over because there was a book fair (or something, I don’t remember what it was). As I was getting my stuff to leave, I heard a weird voice coming from one of the classrooms. When I walked in, I saw one of my teachers talking to himself in the mirror but for some reason, he looked and sounded like Conan O’Brien.

At first I tried to pretend I didn’t notice but he saw me and explained to me that he was a pride demon who can both shape-shift and mimic voices. He then mentioned that he could sense that I was one of them and taught me how to awaken my powers. As a lust demon, along with having tentacles, my abilities were super strength and speed and an unnatural attractiveness. After that the school was attack by demons who created these magic cubes that would trap and crush the other students who were also still there.

I fought them off and escaped to the roof tops of some nearby buildings. My teacher, who still looked like Conan, came to the same roof top to tell me that the rest of the demons were dealt with. Then another demon hunter came and asked why I was there. I showed her my tentacles and she briefly seemed surprised but then went back to looking angry and looked away from me. She then said something like “You’re a lust demon? Fine.” and flew away and I woke up shortly after.

I’ve never been permanently banned from Reddit but I have been shadow banned before on multiple occasions because I tried stopping people from spreading misinformation. But that wasn’t the main reason as there were several other reasons I left Reddit. I’ve been using Lemmy for about 4 years now and I have no intentions of ever going back to Reddit.
