The reason for my disinterest wasn’t her being comfortable with sex, that was just the reason I responded in the affirmative when asked out. She’s too young, she’s in my political party, also I am in therapy figuring myself out and wouldn’t be right to pull someone else through this.

For me I grew up in a hyper sexualized house hold and Catholic too but I now have unhealthy ideas around sex, mostly embarrassment. So when its brought up by someone I have little connection to I go into an almost shut down mode. With sexual partners I have had little to no issue but it does make dating very difficult. I am with her tomorrow and will make it clear that I’m not interested in pursuing a relationship.

Cheers, I don’t think I am cut out for someone that young, discovering the world and figuring themselves out. But yea I think you and cowbee are correct in I need a dialogue, I will bring it up when where doing some activity.

This is probably the best approach. I’m a bit of a people pleaser which doesn’t help in these situations, I was lowkey hopping a commenter might suggest avoidance 😂

Open ended, wouldn’t personally call this offensive, very loosely this could fit 3 but I read 3 more as “don’t ask how to use Lemmy”, I’ve used Lemmy for 3 years and I haven’t seen this question asked, an actual topic of discussion could also be used against this but with albeit limited discussion there definitely is discussion.

Crowd sourcing can be fun, I already had an idea of the biggest human poster but someone pointed to a bot account with 4.5m which is interesting. If there is a simple search feature baked into Lemmy someone may have mentioned that too which would also be interesting.

Massive fan of feddit.uk and Lemm.ee, moderation has been great, feddit.uk the admin have shown a willingness and urgency in helping user. My personal experience; helping with resetting a backend issue effecting my account and looking into bot’ed down voting when I DM’d them.

Lemm.ee is just good with their federation philosophy which can be found on the sidebar.
