Yep, the trade war that trump carried out with China in his first term led to China buying a lot fewer soybeans from the US, instead turning to Brazil (now even more with the second trade war). Since this time his trade war isn’t limited to China, many more countries are finding alternatives. It’s much harder to gain business than it is to retain it and even harder to regain business when lost.

US corporations were happy to support trump because he’d cut taxes and regulations on them, but that won’t outweigh all the business lost internationally. Instead US corporations will be relying on squeezing Americans even harder in an attempt to make up for that lost business. I suppose that’s the true meaning of “America first”.

Nobody purity tests more than the democratic party. Back in 2016 they were screaming “NO MORE OLD WHITE MEN” at Bernie, then putting their full force behind biden four years later. The democratic party has every excuse under the sun for why a candidate shouldn’t be allowed through their completely party-controlled primaries but demands everyone submits to their pick, even if their pick supports genocide with billions in weapons, just as long as that candidate assures the rich that “nothing will fundamentally change” as things continue to get worse for everyone else.

Why are you blaming leftists anyway? If the big-brained geniuses at the democratic party calculate that leftists are so insignificant as to not bother listening to them, then how are they to blame when the democratic party loses against a clown yet again?

I’m still using my GTX 1070. There just aren’t enough new high-spec games that I’m interested in to justify paying the outrageous prices that NVIDIA is demanding and that AMD follows too closely behind on. Even if there were enough games, I’d refuse to upgrade out of principle, I will not reward price gouging. There are so many older/lower-spec games that I haven’t yet played that run perfectly for me to care. So many games, in fact, that I couldn’t get through all of them in my lifetime.

Democrats have been doing “foreplay” for years. Trump is not a new entity on the political scene, we’ve already lived through a Trump presidency, then after all the noise (or “foreplay” as you put it) that democrats made about how criminal he is, they did absolutely nothing to pursue prosecution during or after his term. They’ve had years to do something meaningful and they’ve done nothing. This lame stunt will lead to nothing. Foreplay is supposed to be interesting/exciting and generally leads to something more. There is never anything more to democrats, they just make noise and beg for donations while things only continue getting worse.

It’s effective if it’s combined with action. If democrats are, say, voting in enough numbers to help pass his spending bill, then this already overplayed tease is meaningless. Democrats don’t even try to obstruct. The least they could do is make witty satire instead latching onto anything with a hint of virality, beating it to death, and then beating the corpse.

They’re running it into the ground already, just like their ghoulish party members who cling so long onto power that they die of old age in office.

Kamala Harris just chooses whatever she thinks will further her career. She chose poorly. She’s just lucky the party was stupid enough to have elevated her to vice president even after her debate performance was so bad that she dropped out before the 2020 presidential race even started. Then the idiotic party elevated her again after Biden (another opportunist piece of garbage who was elevated by the party) was forced to step down after his embarrassing 2024 debate performance was obvious to even deluded party insiders.

That disqualifies democrats as well.

It’s odd that people here mock voters for “pRiCe oF EgGs” but don’t realize that it was shorthand for the economy being shit for the vast majority of Americans. Obviously Trump isn’t better for the economy, but there were fundamental problems like the high cost of living that people were desperate to get out of and desperate people do desperate things which can be seen as stupid.

Our economy has been an inflatable castle patched with band-aids all over, especially since 2008, but the foundations for this setup was laid down decades before that. Touting higher consumer spending numbers (because people have to pay more for everything), lower unemployment (because people are kicked off unemployment and have to work shitty gig work), or the dumb stock market (which has been pumped with massive money printing) is as dishonest as outright hiding numbers.

The SAVE plan that still only slightly mitigates the student loan problem? They still guarantee excessive profits to lenders and keep student loan repayments up to 20 years. I can see he’s really doing a lot on that problem he created. The fact of the matter is that democrats do not use the power they do have. Biden had the power to appoint an effective attorney general but instead appointed Merrick Garland who did nothing to prosecute Trump even with years of time on his hands and plenty of evidence. The supreme court gave the presidency supreme power for “official acts” and what did Biden do with this power? You tell me.

For someone who’s a fascist and such a threat to democracy, Trump was handled with kid gloves by the democrats and Biden welcomed him back into office with a warm smile and a handshake. Democrats will endlessly shriek about Trump to garner donor dollars and will make token gestures like impeaching him and declaring that he’s the most impeached president as if that actually did anything. When it comes to actually solving the problem, democrats aren’t interested.

Also, it’s a funny coincidence that just the right number of democrats will turn heel the second democrats do manage to get a majority. Just look at senators Lieberman, Manchin, and Sinema. Don’t forget about the sudden senate parliamentarian who comes in with the steel chair in case democrats might have to actually do something. It’s a rigged carnival game and you keep arguing that we just need to get the ball in the hole when in reality the game is set up to make that impossible while looking deceptively possible.

They exist to serve the people.

They don’t do that either.

If they don’t, then give them the boot.

We can’t because the money-packed system self-selects for greedy assholes.
