“Trap” is giving too much credit to all parties. They all are doing things that they think will keep them in power longer; Netanyahu because of all the corruption charges, and Trump because he wants to be seen as this cool tough guy / just wants to watch explosions.

I just remembered the hyperspace “weapon” moment, and both how cool it was and how much it could affect the empire. They probably didn’t mean for it, but that you could effectively point and shoot a ship like that was an amazing usage.
