You are also partially responsible for not doing a god damn thing to prepare the government or the country for what was coming before you left. I watched the whole interview and holy shit the amount of mindless babbling coming out of Trumps mouth about the basically nothing was ridiculous. This man spent a good 5 - 10 minutes complaining about Obama, Biden, and Newsom and barely even let Carney speak. I’m glad he at least got to mention that “51st state” thing at least and shut that down immediately.

I’ve heard something about his birthday like 20 times now and every time I have to read the article just to find out what his birthday is because I always forget. I think deep down in my subconscious my brain wants to forget he has a birthday at all.

So, by this logic, since ICE is going after gangs that means trying to unionize is gang activity. At least that’s how I understand it.

Every single time I listen to these meetings as they all jerk off their Dear Leader I can’t help but cringe. Like when he has a speech and they need to give a standing ovation every 15 seconds for saying literally anything. It’s so forced and fake that you can clearly tell that some those on board are sick of the act. Half of them look dead on the inside when it’s not their turn to speak and they are so over the top with addressing him it’s obvious they are terrified of stepping out of line.

And if I had a chance to ask them anything I’d ask if the power and privilege they get by selling their soul really worth being so terrified that you can’t even speak your own thoughts anymore? Is putting yourself in a state of perpetual self censorship for fear of committing a thought crime and to lose what makes you a human anymore really worth it?

And I’m sure they know not everyone that is a republican is a Christian and not every democrat is anti-Christian. Just like not every POC is a democrat and how not every republican is white. This has always been about pushing their ideology onto others in an effort to oppress the people they don’t like and has nothing to do with politics. It’s like a pyramid scheme where everyone at the top takes advantage of everyone and doesn’t even believe what they are preaching. And you know what a lot of people call pyramid schemes? A cult.

Whenever I used to meet women republicans I would always bring up how the other republicans don’t really care about their point of view and just want their votes. For example, if they are against abortion because they believe that it is actually murder, I respect their opinion even if I disagree with them. But I would always tell them that the people, specifically republican men, are not agreeing with them for the same reason. They don’t care about whether or not it’s murder, they just want to control women’s bodies and turn them into breeders. It’s never been about the unborn and it’s always been about the fact that these men don’t believe women have the right to deny them their future children.

People used to say that my opinion on the matter is extreme and that they couldn’t possibly think of women like that. But now here we are in the year of our Lord 2025 and the government’s religious advisor is saying that women need to submit to men. And I’m sure before we can even blink they’ll be trying to remove women from public office and get rid of their right to vote. They’re already firing them under the pretense of DEI.

It’s because they think it’s for the greater good and that their sacrifice is for the good of this country. They probably feel like heroes. It’s a fucking cult and they are brainwashed. All the while a bunch of power hungry sociopaths tell them who to hate and whose fault it all is so they won’t see that they are being taken advantage of.

If you look up interviews of people that used to be neo-nazis they legitimately thought they were saving the world. The people they were following convinced them that the reason people don’t like them is because they were trying to hurt them and the only solution was to hurt them first.

You’re scared? However scared you are is nothing compared to the people you are supposed to be representing. And if they can start making a stand against this you have no fucking excuse for your inaction.

Oh yeah, definitely. I just want her to be safe but also not back down even a little bit. She’s making waves and needs to continue to do so.

I don’t think she should be careful. If anything, being as loud as possible and staying in the public eye is what all Democrats should be doing. Because if they do start deporting people that actually speak the truth everyone will know when and how it happens. You can’t hide it and they can’t effectively make a move against her that won’t be seen by the entire world. And I think it’s a sign that we all need to start doing this. If we’re loud and seen instead of raging behind our phone screens it’s a lot harder for people to just disappear.

I guess I’ll piggyback on the other comment and say laziness doesn’t exist at work. People definitely have off days or hate their job, but I’d say pretty much all the “laziness” I have experienced in my life at different jobs usually boils down to awful work conditions, managers or bosses that don’t care about you, not getting paid enough for the actual work, or general distain for your corporate overlords if you work for a big company. Some may call me lazy, but I’m working exactly as hard as I feel like they deserve when I’m 30 years old and still living in a studio apartment one paycheck away from being homeless. And I’m not gonna work at 100% when 100% of my needs are not being met. And I make more than anyone else in my family so I’m technically the “successful child.”

I mean, banning video games completely is part of Project 2025 and they’ve so far been pretty much following that to the tee.

I guess a power grab doesn’t work out as well as you want when you put the most selfish people around into positions of power. I know I’m being optimistic, but I hope they keep getting mad at each other.

And it’s not an excuse to get complacent either. We need to keep the momentum with protesting.

It’s what I had left after I sold almost all I had, so it was kinda the dregs anyway. I wasn’t expecting much but 40% kinda took me by surprise.

Now it is, but 3 months ago when I got the paperwork to do it was not. My procrastination saved me some money.

Well they need to speak up. If you work for one of these companies or even Twitter, it’s not like they wont find any reason to fire you these days anyway. I understand that self preservation is a big part of it and I wish people could say what they want without risk of losing their livelihood. But at the same time fear is exactly why we are in this situation. Fear of your boss, fear of the government, fear of being deported, fear because of your identity, fear of your republican neighbors… Fear is the point. Without it they wouldn’t be able to do half the shit they are doing. If we keep being fearful they will take everything we have.
