    More than 30 US Democratic lawmakers

    Sadly, it’s not going anywhere until Republicans get involved. Since the margins are so thin, though, it will only take a single Republican on the proper commtitee to agree with Democrats to hold hearings.

    Getting legislation passed is a different matter, because even if enough Republicans are for the idea of reining in these practices I doubt the leadership will ever let it come to a vote. But hearings would be the first step.

    Dozens are opposed to disappearing the critics of genocide.

    The rest are all for it, including far too many democrats. We need at least one categorically anti-genocide party. We have zero.
