As a nonsense baby-word, “maha” has about as much coherence as “maga”.

You align yourself with the likes of RFK, jr, who is pushing anti-vaccine nonsense and brags about things like snorting coke off toilet seats. You pair yourself up with the people that went into pearl-clutching fits when Michelle suggested kids eat more fruits and vegetables and exercise more. And then vote for donnie, a guy known for not believing in exercise, eating fast food, and who pounds Diet Coke all day long.

      Yup, it’s pretty on-brand.

MAHA people think RFK is concerned about health with the same level of intellectual rigor that MAGA people think Trump - a man who was a complete failure at business until he could use the power of the government corruption to enrich himself - is a business genius.

I’m old enough to remember when RFK Jr. was in league with the Obama granola crowd and how surprising it was for him to endorse Trump, but if we’ve learned nothing this past decade it ought to he that cognitive decline is real and that everyone has a price.

His early career/lobbying is pretty admirable, taken abstractly. The vaccine thing is the only disagreeable part but even then, it’s a case of reaching the right answer with the wrong formula. That vaccines (and/or Tylenol? never too clear on that) cause autism is something we should all disagree on, but that America is the most medicated (by both volume and cost) country in the world with nothing to show for it? That Big Pharma is too big? The importance of preventative healthcare? I would hope that we can all say that there’s something worth discussing there.
