None of them should be. The Republican budget is to literally to continue the layoffs that theyve been doing since January and are wildly unpopular. Everyone with more than two weeks of foresight can see that whatever worries we might have about a shutdown are nothing compared to the damage that giving Republicans another OK would do.

If you have Democrat congressors, call them and tell them you support them, that you don’t blame them for the shutdown, and to hold strong and that the only way you’ll vote for them again is if they don’t cave.

They didn’t just refuse to sign it, they actually did their job and made a counterproposal that protected funding for Healthcare (among other things). Republicans refused to even acknowledge it and shut the government down.

As an American, your empathy is appreciated but honestly save it for people more worthwhile. There was genuinely a good defense for being MAGA in like 2016, but these people have spent a decade doing nothing but choosing to stick their head in the sand further and further while proof of how fucking bad Trump is piles up around them. Understand: all this would be stopped in a second if Republicans accepted the Democrat budget proposal.
