Okay, so Ansar Allah…

  • is fighting a civil war
  • is fighting a war against Saudi Arabia
  • is surrounded by either their enemies or the sea
  • is poorer than Iran or Russia
  • has less people than Iran or Russia

Yet they seem to be doing a better job?
What’s going on?

yemen was occupied by joint forces of saudi arabia and UAE, before the iran war the UAE took their soldiers from the country and the gap wasn’t filled, which made controlling the houthis a very much different and difficult issue. furthermore, iran has been steadily destroying the empire’s military bases and support gear which makes everything more difficult. yemen has a history of struggle, so that also plays a big role.

ultimately, it’s not necessarily money, or advanced tech that wins wars, but rather knowing how to use what you have to your advantage. history is filled with smaller enemies beating giants. the us hasn’t won a war in decades.

Decentralized area with poor infrastructure. Population unlikely to betray intelligence.

Hard to hit targets if you don’t know what the target looks like.

    • Tunnels and missiles are currently OP against military bases, ships and planes.
    • Saudi military is well funded, but not necessarily well trained.
    • Iran and Russia actually have to hold back from certain actions for diplomatic reasons.
