In a recent interview, conservative political operative Karl Rove said he’s voting for a Democrat in the upcoming midterms, breaking three decades of precedent exclusively supporting Republicans, and lamented the GOP’s embrace of far-right individuals.
“My party is being infiltrated by people like Bo French,” Rove said in an interview with The Texas Tribune. Weeks earlier, Rove described French, the Republican candidate for Texas Railroad Commissioner, as a “bigot,” after he posted several xenophobic social media posts taking aim at students of color celebrating a college football game. Earlier in September, the Tribune reported that Rove planned to vote for French’s rival, state Rep. Jon Rosenthal, D-Houston, in the race that will regulate the Texas oil and gas industry.

Gonna assume he’s trying to give himself space from the cons before things go bad during the midterms to try and save himself, no other idea why he’s trying to say this.

Rove spent decades using unethical campaign strategies, identity politics, dog whistles, and hateful propaganda to bolster the Republican party and win them power through fear and bigotry. Now he is surprised that the nazis want a piece of that. You made your bed and made it nice and comfortable for Nazis, Karl. Now lie in it.

He is a propagandist and unethical strategist that used fear and hate to win his party campaigns for decades. He may or may not actually be a bigot himself. I recall before the last election, I saw people at a corner on a busy road in Flower Mound, TX. They were there waving trump flags, maga flags , confederate flags, and one nazi flag. There was a lot of honking, I aasume as support. There was probably 10-15 people there. Thats a lot of nazis
