I share your lack of hope on things getting much better. I still plan to vote, I still plan to argue online and convince people that we need to deal with our oligarchs as I believe the greatest root of the problem is wealth inequality and that falls at the feet of the oligarchs. Everything else follows from that.

When a system is designed from inception to be unfair (what an entirely inadequate word) there’s no fixing it without excising it entirely.
I don’t see that happening within my life time or my great grand children’s.
