I’m actually against this. The MAGA folks have made a whole identity of being for anything that liberals are against - liberal tears make them happy. If for some bizarre reason, the MAGA base started being for, say, universal health care, I wouldn’t suddenly be for it. I’d be happy they were finally on the right side of something. I’m not going to fall into the trap of my position just being the opposite of theirs, regardless of what it is.
I’m having trouble understanding your point. MAGA tears is the opposite of liberal tears so I’m making my identity out of it?
I’m saying that them taking joy in liberal tears is simply crappy, and it’s like the most important thing to them, so I don’t think liberals like me should just do the opposite and take joy in MAGA tears. The point isn’t to make them unhappy, it’s to save out country from the crap.
Makes sense. It’s an IPA, though, so I don’t think the message is gonna spread too far 😉
I bet if there’s a beer for them named ‘Liberal Tears’ that it tastes like piss (because it’ll be a cheap knockoff of Bud Light or Coors Light).
