Not this idiotic argument again! The Democrats are definitely flawed as a political party. They have many large blindspots like this one. But they are miles away on a number of key issues from the GOP. And if you don’t see that then you are part of the problem that got us into this clusterfuck.

From the interviews I’ve been seeing, at least some of them voted against Trump due to concerns about bullshit like this. I expect the majority did vote for him, in which case yes, karma’s a bitch. But a) we shouldn’t be treating them as a single voting block that all vote the same way, and b) regardless of the schadenfreude we get watching the Trump supporters among them freaking out now, there are grave knock-on effects for consumers looming - including those consumers who didn’t vote for Trump.

And of course it features Margarine Trailer Queen. Whenever there’s an insane story it turns out that troll has stumbled out from under her bridge to be the center of attention.

And the globe Earth and the moon landing conspiracies! What about that whole pizzaria blood drinking thing too! Piss all the tax payer money down the drain on stupid shit!

I’ve met Mormons who don’t consider Catholics to be Christian, which is pretty fucking hilarious.

ETA: Speaking of Catholics who try to cozy up to the right-wing evangelical Protestant movement because they have common causes but don’t realize they are being used… The Mormons are even further up the enemies list of the right-wing Protestants than the Catholics. And they too don’t seem to be aware of this. Basically if the likes of MTG get their wish to crush gays, trans, feminists, atheists, and liberals under their boot heels, they will turn on themselves. Starting with the non-Christian religions, then the JWs, then the Mormons, then the Catholics. They will go with the lowest hanging fruit.

The ‘states rights’ argument is so superficial. I have no idea why anyone still believes it. The Republicans have shown time and again that states rights only apply when it fits their agenda. And that they will use it as a convenient puppet during election cycles to do gullible voters, only to renege on it as soon as they are back in office.
