There’s a great odd couple comedy sitcom there for the taking. Trump and Musk bring roommates in the Oval Office.

In the grand history of the universe, they are already nothing. They just aren’t smart enough to realize that.

They cling to the idea that they are gaining immortality via a legacy. Their legacy will mean nothing in a few turns l tend if thousands of years - probably much sooner. They will be forgotten, just like the rest of us. Time is the great equalizer. It’s just a shame their shitty, greedy actions cause so much stress and misery to others in the mean time.

He tried to set himself as the alpha wolf against the Sun when he stared at it during the dollar eclipse several years ago. He had to back off before he went blind because the insolent Sun wouldn’t bend to his will. So he already knows it won’t respect an executive order.

So we have an incoming administration that:

• Is focused on economic and legal revenge above serving the people
• Is hell-bent on gutting the federal government and replacing experienced civil service staff with loyal, clueless lackeys
• Wants to deport millions of illegal immigrants regardless of the economic consequences
• Plans on disenfranchise millions of voters from both parties so it can create a theocratic autocracy
• Doesn’t understand how tariffs work but is determined to use them anyway
• Has a leader who is in the pocket of a foreign enemy
• Will lean heavily into energy strategies that focus on climate change denialism
• Has a history of pissing off our allies and fawning over our enemies

And those are just the points that spring to mind. There’s are plenty of other problematic points.

My original comment was supposed to say ‘able’ not ‘about’. Because I had the same thought as you.

You know how people look back at history and go “the situation back then wasn’t perfect, but the idiotic way some in power tried to fix it just made it soooo much worse!”…

Yeah, this is the next step up in the current cycle of this. In centuries to come anyone who is about able to reflect on things will not look at Johnson et al at all favorably.

He’s a battle-hardened war veteran. The war in question being his war against common sense, empathy and sanity.
