If Texas Republican voters give the nomination to Ken Paxton and then lose the main election, they thoroughly deserve the loss. None of the GOP candidates are good. But Paxton is a special kind of horrible.

They might think this kind of thing makes them look strong. But they are incorrect.
Anyone with more than a couple of braincells in their skull knows this the sign of an administration that got humiliated and is furiously trying to retaliate out of pure spite.

Yeah, I had the same thought after seeing how the DJIA reacted. A small number of people are going to make a nice bit of money from this. I wonder who. 🤔

The Democrats don’t seem to have a plan for 5 minutes from now, let alone for 3 or so years in the future.
But it sounds like they’re in good company. Established politicians all over Europe seem lost by the current direction of global politics. Based on thus sticks there’s lots of vague ideals with no implementation - more than you’d even expect to see normally.
And the Republican party is getting witlessly dragged along in the wake of those running the Trump administration. And it seems like even those ‘masterminds’ are just aggressively winging it based on the high-level objectives they outlined in Project 2025.
Everyone is lost and stumbling around in the dark. Some might have a faded glow stick in their hand, but that’s not much help.

Sure, keep firing lots of experienced, talented military professionals because their opinions offend you. And replace them with less competantent sycophants. I’m sure that won’t have a negative impact on the daily operations of the US armed forces! /s

That’s a ridiculously low bar, but it’s also an important distinction.
Do I want Gavin Newsom to be the Democrat nominee for 2028? Hell no! He’s revealed himself to be a shallow political opportunist and an ideological chameleon. And I think that party can do better.
But regardless, would he be an improvement over Trump? Hell yes!
Another question is: is he - a supposedly populist liberal from California - even electable on a national stage? I don’t think so. But then, we live in very ‘interesting’ times. So who knows.
The third question is: will we have a fair enough election in 2028 (or an election at all)? That remains to be seen.

‘Kid’ Rock.
Holy shit, aging has hit him like a sledgehammer. The guy is apparently 55 but looks like he’s 75. Is it weak genes? Is it poor lifestyle? Or is it from having a curdled and hate-filled soul? Maybe all three I guess. But regardless, bubba looks like he’s about to head to the old folks home any day.

The natural question should be: what new immoral bullshit is he distracting the media and the public from with this video?
The video is horrible. But there’s always something worse coming that he’s trying to draw our attention away from.

I assume he’s at the marine biology hospital? Well, I’m sure he’ll be coming out of his shell soon - one way or the other.

“a bad film made by bad people about bad people.”
I don’t remember the last time I read something so brief and blunt but so accurate.
“If you’re hoping Melania will have a ‘so bad it’s good’ energy, I’m afraid it does not. Melania is not Cats,” Smith concluded.
It’s deemed so bad even that awful live action Cats movies is far superior? Holy shit!
I look forward to the song on YouTube with lyrics comprised purely from bad review quotes. This is going to be the spiritual sequel to Rachel Ziegler’s Snow White disaster.

Is it me, or did that guy look drunk as a skunk?

Too late. They all played their cards way too early and ignorantly. We all know the ridiculous bullshit they said. And just like the videos of Pretti’s murder, their comments are indelibly on record. And no amount of backtracking will change that. America will remember.

“It’s completely unfair to the agents who have been put in this position,” he added. “There’s only so much they can handle before bad things start to happen.”
They knew exactly what they were getting themselves into. Most of them want those bad things to happen. They masturbate over the prospect of that brutality.
This is just some asshole trying to hand-wave away the crimes these people are doing under the guise of “boo hoo, poor them!”
They deserve zero sympathy. And all of them who have harassed, threatened, kidnapped, hurt, or murdered people should be brought to justice.

Mr “take the guns first, deal with due process later” doesn’t care about gun rights? Really?!
As others have said, he never cared about them. And the signs were there to see. But too many people chose to ignore those signs out of convenience.

fatally shot
The word they’re looking for is 'murdered '.

Everyone is technically a negotiator, because it’s part of human communications. But some are better at negotiating than others.
And Trump is an absolutely terrible negotiator. TACO Don frequently overplays his negotiating hand and then gets himself boxed in to an untenable situation.

Fucking monsters.

“Some of you will lose a lot of money and starve. But that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make!” -Trump
“And all it cost was handing over all your sensitive data, firing our entire ethics team, removing the last few flimsy guardrails we still had in place, and a promise that I personally would do ten Nazi sales every day. But the joke’s on the Pentagon - we were already wanting to do all that stuff regardless!” -Sam Altman
