All the doorbell camera recordings are triggered by motion, so if the cops want to try to track someone they’re gonna have to ingest a meric fuck ton of video. Even if they can AI to victory just the logistics of obtaining it all will be prohibitive.

The only problem with that idea is that no one goes trick or treating any more.
edit: so are you all who get a lot of them in densely populated urban areas, or more suburban or rural? Just curious.
My neighborhood is in a big city but still single-family, and we’ve recently started getting a lot more trick-or-treaters over the last few years because it’s been gentrifying and a lot of the young couples who moved in started having kids.
I bet a lot of flock cameras exist in areas where there may be lots of foot traffic, like bars or in college towns, anywhere that may be a house party.
