Democrats ‘united by a common purpose: putting a check on Trump’, Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand say
Leading Democrats quickly papered over whatever qualms they had about progressive candidate Abdul El-Sayed after his win in the Michigan Senate primary was confirmed on Wednesday, instead welcoming the former public health official as their champion against the Republican nominee, Mike Rogers.
The state is now key to Democrats’s hopes of retaking control of the chamber in November’s midterm elections. Winning in Michigan would put them on the path to snarling Donald Trump’s legislative agenda and blocking his judicial nominees for the final two years of his presidency, while defeat could undermine their prospects of gaining a majority in the chamber for years to come. Rogers lost a Senate race in Michigan two years ago by a slim margin to Democrat Elissa Slotkin.
Write a letter about it Chucky.
Oh look thr online progressives got it wrong again, color me shocked
You’re not making the DNC cooler, you’re just making progressives look worse
If he had any ounce of scruple Chuck Schumer would keep his mouth starting today until the day he dies.
Nah, Schumer sucks and needs to be removed from his job as quickly as possible, but so long as he’s still the Minority Leader in the Senate it would be weird and turn into a news story if he didn’t say something like this
Can’t happen soon enough.
while defeat could undermine their prospects of gaining a majority in the chamber for years to come.
Because we’ll be living in an authoritarian regime? Just say what you mean.
Because we’ll be living in an authoritarian regime?
Americans have been living under authoritarian regimes for the country’s entire recorded history.
