This looks like an awful layout for a fair.

There doesn’t look like there’s much to do at all.

I’m sure there’s some stuff in those tents, but so much wasted space for what’s probably aesthetic reasons, and that definitely makes it look even more dead.

Fairs and carnivals are tightly laid out so they feel more alive and they can jam in more to see everywhere you look. This is the opposite.

This looks like an awful layout for a fair.

It’s a workable layout. You just need stuff to do. This is a lawn, some ugly empty tents, a broken ferris wheel, and tears of children expecting something more interesting than a basic city park.

Someone who’s never been to a state fair’s idea of one, no doubt. And many of the booths are empty, with just a table and a state stamp for the visitor book.

It almost looks like how markets were organized in some places historically, but those were generally in smaller spaces and had an open middle to facilitate carts, horses, and just to have an open walking area. This just looks dead.
