I have a feeling that it will be 2040, Republicans are the only legal party and there will be illegal underground news articles that are still titled “Republicans are trying to end America’s democracy.”

At what point are any of the people writing these articles going to acknowledge that they’ve already done it and that only way to reverse it is through law breaking?

Americans have so thoroughly been taught to follow the law and be polite since they began school that there is no snapping them out of it. They will let the fascist take their freedoms, taxes, health, sanity and more. Everyone of them will keep trying to vote harder.

This is the aftermath of the supreme court’s disastrous 6-3 ruling in Louisiana v Callais, decided less than a month ago, which gravely weakened the Voting Rights Act’s protections for Black representation. Ever since, Republicans have resembled eager children on Christmas morning, tearing our electoral maps to shreds.

    Louisiana

Louisiana is set to eliminate one of its two Black-majority districts. The court let

    Alabama

The court let Alabama erase one of its two Black-majority districts before this fall’s primaries.

    Mississippi

In Mississippi, the Republican state senator who chairs the Medicaid committee said this week that it was time to “erase Bennie Thompson’s district”.

you utter trash. you absolute excrement of humanity. we will remember every one of you racist fucks. retribution may be delayed, but it will come and your graves will be pissed upon for generations, you loathsome, useless waste of oxygen.

I hope this backfires spectacularly and all the left of center voters turn out in record numbers to flip all these new diluted districts

It’s happening and Americans are either complicit or powerless to do anything about it.

powerless to do anything about it.

They’re not powerless. They could’ve had more than 3 protests in the past 16 months before giving up.

They weren’t protests- they were parades. They had fucking live music and barbecue grills. Social media posts talking about how much “fun” they had protesting.

        An absolute joke.

Every time I hear someone suggest protesting I have to assume they’re a liberal. Which means they oppose leftists at every opportunity, oppose any acts of violence like the killing of Brian Thompson, explain the pragmatism of blocking the rail strike in 2022 and defend Biden for going around congress twice to ship weapons to Israel and preventing a legitimate primary from being run in 2024.

The short of it being, liberals oppose any kind of disruption so what exactly do they believe protests are supposed to accomplish?

          That’s the thing- they don’t.

For American liberals, protesting isn’t the means, it’s the end.

It’s their opportunity to telegraph to everyone that they’re “on the right side.” Accomplishing that and easing their guilt for doing fuck-all are the only outcomes they give a shit about.

I agree. Though I’m not sure why I’m getting more down votes than you.

Also a little frustrating when people leave the down vote but say nothing.

That should be pretty easy for them to achieve, seeing as how this administration can turn the country on its’ head twice a week and no one, seemingly, bats an eye.

    November mattered? Since when?

Sure, they add up ballots, why not? It’s our tradition.

Whoever spends the most wins over 90% of the time.

Regardless, Amazon will “donate” to BoTh PaRtIeS beforehand, of course! If one party wins, they’ll have an easier time of it to open that new distribution center.

If the other party wins, Amazon will be like “darn it!”, and it will cost them more money, but they will still get that new distribution center.

You can be sure that whomever wins, the poor humps working at that new distribution center will lose.
