Demonstrators across the country and the globe will protest against Donald Trump on Saturday at over 3,000 planned events.

Millions are expected to gather across the country and around the world on Saturday for a third round of “No Kings” protests against Donald Trump. Organizers predict that it will be the “single largest non-violent day of action” in American history.

Saturday’s “No Kings” marches, of which there are more than 3,200 planned across all 50 states and several continents, come as Trump faces increasing scrutiny over the war with Iran, the rising cost of gas and how his administration has executed its mass deportation agenda.

“Since the last No Kings [protests], we’re seeing higher gas prices and groceries, all while there’s an illegal war in Iran,” Sarah Parker, a national coordinator for the group 50501, told reporters Thursday on a national press call previewing Saturday’s events.

Went to one in Sacramento with a couple of friends. I’d bet there were about 5k-10k when we were there. Good vibes all around. Few other friends went to one in Los Angeles, looked like that one had a lot of attendees too.

To the naysayers: even if this accomplishes nothing in the most literal sense, hope is the basis of progress, and hope dwindles very quickly when you feel like you’re standing alone and shouting into the void. Gathering with so many other people who likewise understand how fucked everything is and how desperately we need to make big changes can go a long way to recharging that hope battery.

The photo coverage of the protests is incredible - really creative stuff leading to awesome shots for future history books.

I’ve been very pessimistic about the future of the Untied States since Trump took power. But today’s protests have given me a bit of hope

And it will do shit all. It will fade from news in under 2 days, and that’s it, as if it never happened

The last time, the only blip I saw on the news days after the mo kings 2 protest wasn’t about the protest itself, it’s was about that sad trump posted AI video of him flying a fighter jet dumping shit on the protesters.

Think about that for a second. Millions protested and in a single shit video he managed to make it about him, and you believe this third single day no kings will make a difference and do something?

    Come on…

The largest pressure release value in US history. People don’t realize their anger and frustration is being neutered by the system they oppose.

as someone who doesn’t agree with you, it is an interesting metaphor. Non-violence is what many people believe. Turning anger into non-violent action is what you are witnessing.

Not a single right we have has ever been achieved with non violence. Nothing has ever been granted by pleading with the state.

The problem is everyone thinks violence is things like broken glass. Violence from the state comes in many forms, poverty, homelessness, hunger, economic, physical, and psychological.

The only forms we can exercise is economic and broken glass.
