It’s important they voted to keep it, but it was far too close to being repealed. Something as important as this should require a 70% pass to repeal.
A standard tactic of the regressives is to claim that their right to advocate for oppression and unjust discrimination is equal in importance to freedom from said discrimination.
I didn’t see it mentioned in the article but it’s worth remembering: the Conservative caucus voted in favour of Armstrong’s bill.
