The motion passed on Thursday with cross-party support. Armstrong, and Independent MLAs Dallas Brodie and Jordan Kealy, voted against it.

I didn’t see it mentioned in the article but it’s worth remembering: the Conservative caucus voted in favour of Armstrong’s bill.
A standard tactic of the regressives is to claim that their right to advocate for oppression and unjust discrimination is equal in importance to freedom from said discrimination.
It’s important they voted to keep it, but it was far to close to be repealed. Something as important as this should require a 70% pass to repeal.
