President Donald Trump has taken an extraordinary step in his efforts to turn his birthday into a national celebration, with the National Park Service revealing that on June 14, his birthday, admission to national parks will be free for U.S. citizens.
In addition, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth have been removed from the schedule of free park admission days, despite both being federally recognized holidays.

Instead it will be his death day that will be globally celebrated.
I will make it a tradition to celebrate his death every year.
Religious people love doing that.
I still have the day he was indicted marked on my calendar annually.
Proverbs 11:10
I will personally celebrate with the most expensive whiskey I can find on this day.
Bro I am getting fucked up in the street
Same!
Most expensive is usually a bad decision. The most expensive ones been aged long is, and eventually a lot of the character goes away and it starts to taste more woody.
I go with whatever the f*** tastes the best.
I’m trying to drink less but yeah I should go get a good bottle just to celebrate the deaths of bad people
My dad was, apparently, an alcoholic - and a pretty bad one - before I was born. I wasn’t around for it, but two of my three older siblings have told me various stories about it. He himself even told me of the night he met my mother, including the detail that that night, he was so drunk that he barely remembered how to get home after dropping her off at hers.
I don’t know how long before I was born he stopped drinking, but I only ever saw him consume one alcoholic beverage in my lifetime. When he did, he said “I wouldn’t mind one more!” but, to his credit, immediately stopped. I’ve inherited some of his proclivities, though I think not as severe, and am actively working against them. (I’m aware of the stopdrinking communities, this isn’t a cry for help.)
Point I’m trying to make is, if you’re trying to drink less or to quit … Be careful how you celebrate. He had some thirty years of sobriety to recover and was still tempted.
His death is probably going to be the final spark for civil war
Between what factions? Because the factions who would try to use a power vacuum to gain power is doing so right now and not a lot of his followers would actually be willing to follow through on “avenging” him or whatever.
He’s a focal point for assholes who use his example as an excuse to behave like monsters - there’s no real coherent ideology for his followers to latch into with him gone to get anything done at all. You’ll just see various random conspiracy theorists trying stupid shit and a couple of militias delusional enough to think they have broad support who then will be wiped out. They might inflict some damage, but it won’t look like civil war, more like the occasional domestic terrorist.
Exactly, because it’s a cult of personality. Once he goes, so does the cult. Although I expect a power grab, and wonder if the d’s have been working on their own project 2025… given their previous behavior, I doubt it.
The circumstances seem important, don’t they? Like, it’s different if he nods off and shits himself one last time, surrounded by everyone in the Cabinet Room vs. if something external visibly happens to him. I guess either way the wolves will try to spin it to light that spark they want.
JD Vance does seem a lot like Nick Offerman’s character in “Civil War”
