Dependence on Russian military aid for months or years to fight it off as a proxy defense against the US is a less optimal/just outcome than ending the war immediately with an explosion in the ocean. World continues to normalize US behaviour instead of assisting its collapse.
Again, there is zero chance of Russia attacking US carriers in the ocean. Also, from Russian perspective it would be far preferable for the US to get embroiled in their own version of SMO in Latin America for years to come.
