    Well, goooooollllly. And gee-whillickers.

Now just who the fuck could have done this to us? How could Kamala and her cackle do this to such fine, upright REEL MERIKANS?

“The whole thing is screwed up,” said John Painter, a three-time Trump voter who runs an organic dairy farm in Westfield. “We need people to do the jobs Americans are too spoiled to do.” [emphasis mine]

Well, lookee here. Gosh, I wonder if there is any correlation to voting and outcomes?

Also, is this guy stepping up to do the job, or is he “too spoiled”?

      I think you meant:

“Ach, now who in the world went and done this to us, once?”

“The whole thing is screwed up,” said John Painter, a three-time Trump voter who runs an organic dairy farm in Westfield. “We need people to do the jobs Americans are too spoiled to do.”

With an attitude like that it’s no wonder you’re having trouble finding people to work for you…

“We moved to H-2A out of necessity,” added Sarah Zost, an orchard grower in Gardners, Pennsylvania. “No one wants to use the program. It’s a paperwork nightmare.”

If only one party had been proposing to fix immigration; only to have their efforts hamstrung by insistence we first “strengthen the border”. See reference here: https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-collapse-of-bipartisan-immigration-reform-a-guide-for-the-perplexed/

The best chance to enact comprehensive reform came in 2013 during President Barack Obama’s second term, when a bipartisan group of senators dubbed the “Gang of Eight” agreed on a bill that would toughen security at the southern border and make it harder for employers to hire migrants who had entered the U.S. illegally while providing legal status and a path to citizenship for millions of such migrants who had resided in the U.S. for many years. The proposal passed the Senate 68 to 32 with strong bipartisan support. But because it did not enjoy the support of a majority of House Republicans, then-Speaker John Boehner refused to bring it to floor for a vote, and the measure died.

    Article doesn’t mention pay either…

Ahh yes, the informal rule named for child rapist Dennis Hastert ® that has only ever been used by republicans.

John Boehner is a drunk piece of shit who was constantly crying in public because he was constantly shitfaced at work. Just throwing that out there. I speak from personal experience.

It’s too bad the punishment for what THEY voted for only applied to them, since they asked for it. It’d be nice if normal Americans could go on living our lives under a normal administration…

If those fat farmers would stop lazing around eating avocado toast and surfing the web on their iphones while wearing overpriced red maga caps, maybe they’d be getting some work done, right? Time for them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and quit complaining.

seriously though, I’m tired of this whole “noble down to earth conservative farmers” shtick. I grew up rurally, more than half of them are right wing douchebags who asked for exactly this outcome. Hey you got rid of the farm laborers. Good for you and congrats on your big win.

Not sure what to tell you dipshits if you didn’t know this would happen after last time. It’s a literal repeat for farmers.

that “free market capitalism” they think they have/had was worth it huh? pay workers more so you can find them locally, or if you cannot, close your farm. or fight to remove all borders (objectively a good thing) so you don’t have to worry about the made up an ever moving goalposts that is “immigration law.” or fight to remove capitalism and off a few burbs with one stone.
