      Why do they get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars while at the same time skipping entire months worth of work?

        They go back to their districts and work there for most of it. Supposed to keep them informed about the will of the people.

        I’m sure most just vacation the whole time but some might still give a shit, I dunno

          Most of them spend a huge amount of their time fundraising whether congress is in session or not.

            Jn whatever country replaces the US, we need to have publicly funded elections. We have to get the money out of politics. Eliminate PACs while we’re at it.

              Doesn’t matter if you don’t completely decouple and depoliticise the judiciary. Otherwise, over time, you’ll be back here again.
