President Trump’s political team is encouraging Republican leaders in Texas to examine how House district lines in the state could be redrawn ahead of next year’s midterm elections to try to save the party’s endangered majority, according to people in Texas and Washington who are familiar with the effort.

I believe we have enough people of the political leaning in Texas to oust the Republicans, but only if they get the fuck to the polls and vote. Which they historically have not done.
It’s probably been several cycles in a row that the Democratic Presidential nominee had garnered more votes in Texas than the Republican Gubernatorial nominee.

they are trying to cripple solar because their gas plants have to either lower production or shutdown cause solar and wind drops energy prices so low it’s not profitable to run.

I thought districts can only be redrawn following the census. Or when court-ordered to do so.
I think we won’t see any rebalancing of the legislature in Texas until there is a Democratic surge that flips the state and federal offices. Probably a US Senate in a presidential year. That will turn Texas into a battle state for Gov, Lt. Gov, and AG in following mid-term election. Only then will we have a chance at districts being redrawn to be more representative.
