Just this guy, you know?

I might. You can never determine that the files will never be released. It could always be next week. So I’d never have to pay out. Then if, by some gross bureaucratic incompetence, they accidentally release the files, I could still collect.

Just light-hearted snark that perhaps it’s a bit selfish that your main worry here is your hypothetical trip.

Trump says: whatever floats to the top of his mind, with no relation to the truth
Allison Hart, a spokeswoman for Mr. Rutte, said that he “did not propose any compromise to sovereignty during his meeting with the president in Davos.”

They literally gave the US sovereignty over parts of Greenland after this.
Nothing has happened and that entire article is wild speculation.

That’s so sad about your trip. Username checks out though.

Why don’t they also distribute it as a torrent?

Impeachment doesn’t go through the courts but is entirely a matter for Congress. They can impeach him for anything or nothing as long as they have the votes.

OK, I’m confused. I was in Haute Savoy on a road trip last weekend and picked up some cheeses from a little shop along the road, and 2 bottles of wine. Nobody is getting sick from cheeses in France. Is the real problem here just the usual horrendous food safety practices of the US? Should we be chlorinating American Cheese to be sure? Or is it specifically a pregnancy thing? What am I missing?

He can’t run for president since he wasn’t born American.

Why’d you get one where it doesn’t? 🤔

Fuck. Is anyone in Europe working on a vaccine? Once the 'muricans have incubated the mammalian version of this virus, we’re going to need it. What’s BioNTech doing? Its mostly their tech anyway.

Poland actually got rid of their right wing government in the last election in 2023 and are hopefully dumping the president who’s been blocking reform. It can be done.

Amazon can eat the tariff costs
There is no way they can eat a 135% (or whatever the lunacy dial is at) price increase. Nobody can and those items just won’t get sold now.
Not really. Being married to an EU/EEA citizen he’ll get a residence in any of the other ones. But having a full passport will cut down on paperwork in the long term.
Also, it’s nice here in Italy. Come over! The wife and I have been here for 7 years and once the bureaucracy is dealt with it’s (mostly) quite pleasant.

Wired “has been killing it” during the ongoing soft coup, to quote my journalist wife, and we’ve replaced our WaPo subscription with that. We can never dump NYT just because of the recipes.

I really don’t think Canada should take the first shot. Surely there must be some capable people on the US side.

This is going to be a California Bubbly at best though. But they can be tasty too.

Another massive problem is the voting system which could barely be designed better for forcing a two party system on you. There is no room for someone getting 30% of the vote and of course they should then have about that much influence.
Canada can poot anything they want on the backside of the Euro coins they mint. It’s fun to sort through your change and see where the coins came from. Might see a maple leaf one day?
