Their greed has messed up their perceptions. Just disgusting.

Almost as if, your customers will respect you, if you respect them.

Don’t forget that EA is saddled with 20 billion dollars of debt and it’s board is filled with vultures. As far I can see, EA is going to be gutted and sold for parts. All this talk of creative control is bullshit considering, they are banking on ‘AI’ to cut costs, which is not exactly considered to be creative. Also, I am pretty certain this bet is going to fail hard.
Yeah, EA is completely fucked.

Bullshit. There are many other PC games stores and launchers. Only reason they don’t have lot of users is because they are just not very good. In my view, Valve is not actively trying to establish any monopoly, their competition is mostly incompetent, especially EGS. Of course, I understand that if devs want their games to succeed, they have to play by Valve’s rules, but let’s face it, that’s where customers are. This is not by some trickery of Valve. It’s because Valve happens to be very pro-consumer. So, I don’t agree with the assertion that Steam is a monopoly.
Epic games store could have been great and yet, Epic’s disdain for gamers has caused it to fail. Now EGS is just a glorified Fortnite launcher for the most part.
I am not saying that Steam or even Valve is perfect. They are not. They are just leagues better than their competition.

Remember when Jensen Huang was saying the same about crypto? I remember.
LLMs are just as likely to replace to people, as crypto made cryptobros rich.

Sure it will.

Monetization over good games? Got it.
Barista and waitresses at this cafe I am a regular at. Even a couple of chefs there. I have come to respect them and they like me, despite my many, many faults.

This is so stupid on so many levels. Catholic church must be getting desperate for new sheep.

Why were you in the closet though?? /s

The entire headline is so wild. I don’t know what to think.

It’s not like this is going to stop hackers.

Die. I have no hope left in pretty much anything. But I am also hoping to be surprised, I guess.

Oh, I am not surprised about that. Ubisoft were never really known for respecting their customers.

AAA gaming companies are a shithole.
It is going to suck, most likely. There might be a high probability of shortage of critical resources like water, food due to global warming. Also global warming might increase the likelihood of extreme natural events like floods, droughts, etc. So yeah, it is going to be pretty shit, imo.

This has " We thought more people would pay for the fake currency with the real currency" vibe to it.

John Marston before RDR was a terrible person and he was trying run away from his past. He was, eventually, forced to confront his past, specifically to save his family. Of course, he was killed regardless. Despite wanting to redeem himself and living peacefully with his family, he met a violent end. Almost as if the world saying that there is no redemption for him. This story really made me appreciate stories in general and flawed protagonists like John Marston. Perhaps, the story taught me how pointless ‘regret’ is. John had very little control over his life and his death. He couldn’t change his past, nor control his future, which hurt me really deeply. But this is true for everyone of us. And I have learnt not to regret the past. “World might not forgive you for your past mistakes, but you still can forgive yourself.” is my goto mantra.

Not as a kid, but when I was an adult, working my first job, RDR was really influential.
I am currently playing AC:Brotherhood and Nine Sols. Both are amazing in their own right. Ezio Trilogy is quite special.
