True, but the reasons they’re undelivered do matter. It isn’t that they are trying to ‘keep voters dependant’, they literally don’t have the votes.
They have been passing every lasting policy they can with the votes they do have. We got infrastructure funding, renewable energy investments, 73 new chip fabs, and cannabis has been officially rescheduled. Those are policies that will have a major impact for decades.
They have also been legalizing marijuana and pressured the DEA to reschedule it, those are lasting solutions.
Democrats also support tuition free college, but haven’t been able to get the bill passed yet. Student loan forgiveness can be passed with executive orders, but tuition free college would require a bill passed by Congress.
20⁰F is -7⁰C
Edit: it was even colder when Reagan was inaugurated in 85, -32⁰C wind-chill. Two of the worst presidents in history forced to hold the inauguration in private.
Weird, I switched to an EV to save money. In my experience they’re wildly cheaper to maintain (no gas, no oil changes, no transmission/gaskets/fuel pump/filter/exhaust/spark plugs/starter/alternator, etc.), and my used EV cost the same as the used ICE cars I was looking at.
Most of the places I charge are free, I’ve saved more on gas than I paid for the car already.
Are you the same person as the poem_for_your_sprog user on reddit? If so I’m glad to see you switched to Lemmy.
