  • You definitely could, especially with infinite resources, but prioritization also saves money.

If you had a core train that ran all the way from hope to Whistler we probably wouldn’t be needing to spend all this money expanding the highway or even have HOV lanes so it quite possibly could be one or the other, because once the money is spent on HOV lanes people may say a train is too expensive we have no money left.

  • Personally I want to see a study done to actually see how effective these HOV lanes are.

When I commute each day, it seems like 90% of the vehicles in there are cheaters and i regret that I’m not the type of person to cheat like that.

Either enforce the rules , or don’t bother with HOV lanes

  • That’s the problem with having a minimum wage that covers an entire province.

Metro van cost of living is a lot more expensive then the rest of the province. $17.85 would be fine most anywhere else except places like Kelowna perhaps.

Its sort of the cost of living in a place like Vancouver though, if you want to live with dignity while working a minimum wage job maybe try moving to a smaller rural town.

If we set the minimum wage to $27 just because of Vancouver then everywhere else will be living like kings.

  • One thing I don’t understand about inflation is why printing money increases it but borrowing money doesn’t.

Either way you all of a sudden have $200 million dollars to spend, why does inflation care if that came from another country? The money is still the same, being spent the same, etc.

Eventually it needs to be paid back but that’s not for a very long time so wouldn’t inflation happen between now and then anyways?
