I still think this is good news though. Should help the far-right lose momentum. But then again it’s getting harder all the time to distinguish them from the ‘moderate’ right.

Definitely. Macron is jumping gleefully at this.
Thank you for that, pay no mind to those who won’t bother opening the full post to see it.
Thanks for including the unpaywalled link
Yeah, absolutely no one.
As if! 😂
Came here to say this
True. Annoying isn’t it? I hate Trump and all he stands for yet if he manages to do that, it’d be the most beneficial measure for all the servant countries.
Swans in the To Be Kind era.
If you’d opened the link you’d know that Eurasian Times is referencing an article by Telegraph.co.uk that analyzes a draft sent to Zelenskyy by Trump to which it claims to have had access. So it’s not even a piece of news by Eurasian Times. Would you also say that The Telegraph is well known for being biased, partial, and spreading misinformation (aka Pro-Putin)?
Perhaps I would, but in the sense that they tend to favor NATO/US interests.
Zelenskyy is not the victim.
Ukraine and its people are.
He is using this conflict to benefit the US and through that himself in spite of his country.
Russia and the US are now talking what share of the Ukraine cake should each have.
And that is disgusting, and is the main thing here.
Learn to read comprehensively.
Ah, right. So if I don’t like Zelenskyy and Trump, it MUST be because I like Putin. No other option possible. Such genious, complex geostrategical thinking!
If I point out what is criticizable about Zelenskyy, it must be because I want to justify what Putin has done. That indeed does sound like propaganda, come to think of it.
There is more in the world than black and white, love. And certainly in international politics. You’re the one spouting exactly the same heroic nonsense as the EU. I’m trying to tell you there is more to this conflict than that infantile “good guys” and “bad guys” viewpoint.
But whatever, suit yourself.
It’s honestly awesome to confirm that most people cannot think any further than “if you don’t side with them, then you must side with the others”.
And what propaganda would that be? I just said I didn’t like any of them, so who has brainwashed me? China? 😧 Do you even know what the definition of propaganda is? Seriously…
Yes, Zelenskyy is a shell of a human being, and so are Trump and Putin. Brussels’ bureaucrats do not play any significant role in this conflict, and neither does he. Just look at who just spoke a few days ago to negotiate peace in Ukraine. Was Zelensky there? Nope. That should tell you who matters and who doesn’t.
This is also quite telling:

I’m sorry, but it’s obvious Zelenskyy does not give a flying fuck about Ukraine. All he cares about is planting those sweet NATO bases right at Russia’s door, just like they agreed decades ago not to do. He is using his country as a killing field for the US to gain advantage over Russia. Not that Russia is an innocent lamb obviously either. Just… please read about the origins of this conflict and do not for a second buy into the ‘Zelenskyy champion of anti-imperialism and democracy’ rhetoric the EU loves to use. This is a lot more complex.
Fuck that’s awful. I’m very sorry
It’s not rubbish advice. I agree with you. To feel like your children owe you stuff is to not recognize your own responsibility by bringing them into this world. We’ve never been problematic kids, we have probably actually justified him too much - he grew up in poverty, couldn’t study, had to work in the fields since he was six, didn’t know better, had shitty parents etc etc. Until that bites you in the back! And it has obviously created this entitled behaviour in him. Thank you for your comment.
It’s not that simple. I’m from Spain and the case with our own far-right party is different. They’ve lost momentum gradually, through multiple figureheads leaving or being kicked out, with the main guy still standing, but the scandals and the lack of actual policies proposed have definitely hurt them. The problem is that those who vote for them are exactly the ones who used to vote for the traditionally ‘moderate’ conservative party. Same as in France. So it’s just a constant voter dance between the two parties. The actual number of right-wing voters hasn’t changed much.
One can only hope that disenfranchisement as you call it (I call it chronic planned distraction) will eventually lead to some form of working-class rebellion, as it tends to happen historically.
But this will definitely hurt the European far-right. Le Pen was one of their main bastions and believe it or not, those types are not so easily replaceable. People lose interest quickly and they’ll tire of the ‘this was all a politically motivated complot’ rhetoric. I’ve seen the same happen in my country. In fact, the right lost the last general election because they were so sure they were going to win, their campaign sucked.
