How wonderfully reductive!
How wonderfully reductive!

I’m surprised someone wasn’t assassinated to prevent us from getting this.

The vast majority of consumers do not watch or read reviews. They walk into a Best Buy or whatever retailer and grab the box that says GeForce that has the biggest number within their budget. LTT even did a breakdown at some point that showed how even their most watched reviews have little to no impact on sales numbers. Nvidia has the mind share. In a lot of people’s minds GeForce = Graphics. And I say all that as someone who is currently on a Radeon 7900XTX. I’d be sad to see AMD and Intel quit the dGPU space, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Primaries are where we can fight. Every DINO needs to be primaried, and we need to start fucking showing up to primaries. IIRC primary elections are voted in by only like 10-20% of eligible voters.

JUST DIE ALREADY

You can’t talk about gun control. You just have to do it. Talking about it is a political death sentence. Similar to trans issues on the left. It galvanizes more opposition than support despite being supported by the majority of people.
It’s like handing free Red Bull to the NRA.
Why, what did he do? I keep hearing hyperbolic statements with no facts that make me think Russian bots are responsible.

Tell that to President Whitmore during his epic speech in Independence Day!
Perhaps it’s fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist.

Event Horizon when I was 10. I think that recalibrated what the entire concept of fear was in my mind.

If I saw the artwork myself and it inspired my artwork, would it be any different? Everything is based on everything.

Because parties change power? And you end up setting precedent that is used against you? Not to mention the voting part is literally part of the job they are paid and elected to do?

There’s a difference between voting in a block, and literally passing/interpreting legislation to expand powers of another branch at the expense of your own.
If you vote in a block, you still have your vote. If you pass laws saying actually you can do whatever you want without a law saying you can, you just took your own vote out of the equation.

I mean, who would think that independent branches of governments would WILLINGLY cede their power to other branches of government?
Our government is completely populated with cowards who don’t even want the responsibility of the power of their positions. And our civics education is so poor that they know the only thing the masses pay attention to is the president. So everyone can collectively fuck off with their jobs and face no backlash.

AOC is going to need allies and a progressive coalition. We need to change the composition of the party from within in exactly this way. We just need way more of it.

Once everyone is convinced that laws are meaningless shit will spiral out of control. Like whose authority would I recognize over my own at this point?
If masked thugs show up at my door they getting shot, I’m not taking their word for who they claim to be.
And even if they are who they say they are, I will not comply with what I perceive to be illegal orders that I have no good faith that I’d be able to argue in a fair court of law, and even if I were convinced of that…
WHAT DOES EVEN WINNING IN COURT MEAN IF COURTS ARE IGNORED?

I think it’s more that we have problems affecting large amounts of the population and people are probably tired of trans being 1% of the population but taking up more than 1% of the discourse. And largely only to the end result of being used as wedge to hurt trans people.
The sad reality is, it would be better for trans rights for the left to win, and the left isn’t going to win by ignoring tactics and strategy in a game that the right is metagaming into oblivion with voter suppression and gerrymandering.

Don’t think I’ll be moving on from my 7900XTX for a long while. Quite pleased with it.

What does this even mean? Like W2 taxes go directly from employer to federal right? What kind of control can California actually do to stop monetary flow to the federal government?
The filibuster disproportionately benefits the GOP anyway. Their MO is status quo, prevent reform, do nothing, dismantle. They will always use it more. It’s why we have no public option for Medicare. And it’s been used excessively since Obama.
