Trump says a lot of things. Can we get confirmation from the Canadian government on this?

Disappointed that Huff Post made no effort to say what was the question was and is instead helping Trump to distract from the topic that made the President of the United States so uncomfortable that he launched into another of his infantile tantrums.

Having heard the exchange elsewhere, I gathered it was something about North Korea and Kim Jong-Un, but I could not make out the specifics.

I feel like the story should be “Trump desperately tries to avoids questions on relationship with North Korea”.

It’s not like he could blame massive crowds visiting that ghost town of an event.

Oh no! Another hollow threat that carries no meaningful punitive consequences. What ever will the DOJ do?

Kinda feel like Elon Musk should be named in this lawsuit.

2016, Obama was president: Trump thinks that there were no problems with the elections.

2018, Trump was president: Trump doubts the legitimacy of the midterm elections

2020, Trump was president: Trump thinks that the elections were rigged.

2022, Biden was president: Trump has no complaints about the elections and calls it a “great night”.

2024, Biden was president: Trump does not doubt the legitimacy of the elections.

2026, Trump is president: Trump thinks that the midterm elections are going to be rigged.

I think that I am starting to see a pattern forming.

But they have failed to show any correlation to even suggest causation.

No. If Republicans maintain their control the tariffs will likely be canceled or delayed. If they don’t and Democrats gain power then Republicans will blame the Democrats in congress. If that doesn’t work, then they get another shot of doing the same thing during the next midterm election. It’s a classic play that Republicans run over and over and over again because most US voters are either too stupid or too apathetic to understand how they are being governed.

Hmmm, what else happens in 2 and 4 years from now. I wonder who Republicans will try to blame if / when these tariffs go into effect.

I don’t believe that driving across the Reflecting Pool would qualify as an official duty of the President of the United States and therefore would not qualify for the blanket immunity the Supreme Court granted. So could he, personally, be sued for the damage he caused?

The retailers? Wouldn’t that be the gas stations? Is he targeting the small business / franchisee while giving the oil companies a free pass?

Sounds totally legit. Lawyers often make unilateral decisions to resolve cases without consent from their clients.

Again? Hasn’t there been previous rulings that Trump attempting to unilaterally impose tariffs is illegal? Isn’t there an order to repay American companies for the illegal tariffs they had to pay?

I’m curious, after these past rulings, who decided to follow these clearly illegal orders and what consequences will anybody face?
