If you voted against Harris because of her Gaza stance, or daresay… voted for Trump because you thought he’d do a better job, congratulations, you elected a candidate who probably has his head even further up Netanyahu’s arse than the Biden Administration did…
You reap what you sow.

I think the Democrats should fight fire with fire.
Push for Dwayne Johnson or Taylor Swift as the Democratic nominee.
Or better yet listen to your fucking voters for a change.

The longest government shutdown in US history came from Trump and he still got voted back in because people didn’t want a South Asian woman as president. And now we have that shutdown record broken again.
The fact that he won the Latino, Muslim and Black vote and now they’re acting surprised by the mass deportations, ICE raids and tariffs he’s been imposing is peak “Leopards Ate My Face” material.

Knowing Trump, I wouldn’t be surprised if he went full Nayib Bukele and sent in troops to influence the vote.
And as much as I like Bukele, he presided over unique circumstances where his country was effectively being ruled by MS-13 and his actions were warranted in the case of being elected leader of a country ruled by drug overlords. The USA is going through no such crisis.

This is one defeat that I think we can no longer blame on Russian interference.
Kamala Harris was such a disliked candidate that she lost the popular vote to a convicted felon that previously tried to spark a right wing insurrection against Congress. A convicted felon whose previous tenure led to the Supreme Court bringing back state level abortion bans, and who was running on the manifesto of turning America into a right wing Christian theocracy staffed by Trump loyalists. Not even Hillary Clinton did this terribly.
Biden should never have ran for a second term, given that he was already showing signs of forgetfulness four years ago, and when he was eventually pushed to resign, the Democrats should have held a snap primary instead of immediately backing Harris.
I’m not from the US so you can’t really say that I lost.
I live in the UK where we are facing a similar predicament. A lot of people vote on class lines and for the same two parties based on the lesser-of-two-evils because they don’t want to waste their vote and give the worse party power.
The difference is that our two main establishment parties (the Conservatives and Labour) have catastrophically fucked things up over the past fifteen years, and now a MAGA-like far-right party headed by Nigel Farage is being overwhelmingly pushed by the press. People here overwhelmingly disagree with things like zero-hours contracts and privatizing the NHS, yet haven’t read into any of Reform UK’s policies and will vote for Farage anyway because he seems a bit more charismatic and the media oligarchs are heavily pushing him.
