It comes a month after President Trump’s executive order to remove what he calls “improper ideology” from Smithsonian museums.
And they’re letting it happen. It’s unbelievable.
The utter destruction of the republic continues apace. Russia’s published plan was always to do this US in by inflaming racial tensions. I’d imagine this is just the next step in the playbook.
Foundations of geopolitics Alexander durgan
You should’ve voted then.
Did you read somewhere that they didn’t?
Yes. And added a tag. It makes such posts as these very…weird, to say the least.
Lol wtf. I’m constantly amazed by the dissonance people can hold. Bloody looneys.
I shouldve helped in the genocide? So we lost by one vote? Darn I guess this is on me then, although to be fair my state went for harris and we dont use the general vote count for anything, but thats not the point for you is it. Because you arent here with any realistic points.
Funny story, my state was called for Harris before even one vote was reported.
“helped in the genocide”
jesus christ, dude.
These “genocide Joe” clowns can’t be reasoned with.
I suffer from no illusion that the US is terrible for Palestine. However, not understanding that we had two (2) choices for president and Trump is not only worse for Palestine, but also a complete and utter fucking moron and also has authoritarian tendencies so therefore I will help Palestine by not voting for Harris, facilitating Trump’s return to office is beyond my ability to understand.
Yep they are just as bad as MAGA seeing as they ushered in Trump 2.0
Ah so trump made the genocide better? Funny story no states were called before votes were reported.
no states were called before votes were reported.
Hawaii was.
What made you so sure of your answer uselessRN? it was easy enough to google. I know you’re not just talking out your rear about things you know nothing about, right?

You shared a fake picture. I know you’re smart enough to do a reverse image search to see that’s a bad Facebook meme. Hawaii counted their votes before calling it for Harris. Predominantly Hawaii is vote by mail or early voting. A simple Google search would show this. But it’s easier to lie when we don’t understand something like that. Next time you want to prove a point don’t post an iFunny link. Besides funny pics was always better
Nov 2024 00.02 EST Harris wins Hawaii Kamala Harris has won Hawaii, the Associated Press reports.
The vice-president’s victory was expected, and she picks up four electoral votes.
And here you can see a chart of when votes came in, in the “share of expected vote reported” chart. First results came in at 538am EST. Race had been called at midnight with 0% counted. 6pm Hawaii local time. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/11/05/us/elections/results-hawaii-president.html
I guess if you want to be a jerk and call this fake it doesnt really matter, but you’re still talking out your rear and are just wrong.
Polls closed and based on early poll counting, early mail in votes that were COUNTED, and previous election history AP called the race for Harris. The chart saying 0 doesn’t mean they didn’t count votes. Don’t share stupid pictures and maybe people will be nicer to you.
Hold up. You didn’t vote in your local elections for third parties though? You just didn’t vote at all? And have opinions? I don’t get it
Omg I thought this was the onion. Fuck.
Fuck everything about this.

I see how you go around on Lemmy saying Twitter-length insult comments on political discussions. An agent of mockery for Putin lovers.
Russia-watcher Catherine Fitzpatrick, who documents Kremlin disinformation for InterpreterMag .com, says just as Moscow uses vague Internet laws to encourage self-censorship, trolls inhibit informed debate by using crude dialogue to change “the climate of discussion.” “If you show up at The Washington Post or New Republic sites, where there’s an article that’s critical of Russia, and you see that there are 200 comments that sound like they were written by 12-year-olds, then you just don’t bother to comment,” she says. “You don’t participate. It’s a way of just driving discussion away completely,” she adds. “Those kinds of tactics are meant to stop democratic debate, and they work.”
You don’t sound like an adult.
Maybe leave the room while the adults are talking.
We’re at the point where its not going to be safe and cuddly. Say no, make the administration attack you. Its bigger than ourselves time bois.
Anyone wanna take bets on whether the artifacts and exhibts are being properly taken off display and stored, or if they are just being tossed in a dumpster somewhere…
Sold to private collections I bet. Nazis love art because they cannot create.
You need a soul to be able to create
You guys consider reading the article instead of guessing? The article is about one book and one bible being returned to one person.
The Smithsonian responded to DC News Now, stating:
The Bible and book belong to Rev. Brown of San Francisco who generously loaned them to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture for an exhibition. The loan agreement has expired and the items are being returned (in May) to the owner which is standard museum practice for any loan. The curator called and wrote to Rev. Brown.
None of these objects are leaving the Smithsonian.”
If I’m understanding correctly there’s two books being removed. And the Smithsonian is saying the loan agreement with the owner of the books, Rev. Brown, expires in May. So they’re returning them to him to rotate in new exhibits per regular operating procedure. If that’s true I don’t really understand the issue here. Rev. Brown seems to be under the impression that they’re removing the items because of Trump’s order. But he, at least in this article, doesn’t even address the Smithsonian’s explanation so I don’t really know what’s going on here. But it really doesn’t seem like this is because of Trump’s policy. If it was why would they just be removing these two books and nothing else?
America, you need to riot. Like yesterday. Do not let this happen. You’re too much of an imperial power, it’s gonna fuck us all over.
Fight them in every arena. Stop rolling over.
Too much to lose to fight back? Just wait, you’ll live to regret it. And so will we.
Watch the Americans stand by and let this happen. They want this.
MAGAts do. Nobody else. But if I have to choose between some museum artifacts and trying to keep myself and my family safe, I’m putting my efforts to the latter. So you can sit there comfy and judge like some armchair revolutionary, but you’re wrong.
~46% of Americans are republican and strongly support trump no matter what he does-- even now his support amongst republicans is extremely high around social and wedge issues.
~45% of Americans are democrats, and of those, ~55% are in support of progressive causes, while the remainder ~45% of dems are centrist or lean conservative-- mainly concerned with preserving their current rights and daily way of life. Although they are a minority of dems, the non-progressives control the party’s legal apparatus so the democrats are a house very dvided so are unlikely to be winning any elections anytime soon. The centrists have proven that they’d much rather lose than let the progressives take control of the party. The math shows us that just 24.75% of the country is progressive-- these are people who’d care to keep the black history museum open.
The independents (not dem or republican) usually fall between republican and Dem centrist, so they likely don’t accrue to progressive numbers in this case.
So probably just over 75% of Americans want this or dont care to fight this. You can only trust 1 in 4 Americans to be against this on principle. And those 1 in 4 dont have a political party that will loyally rally around their causes-- especially this far from an election.
