Eroding democracy isn’t an on off switch per se. He’s been actively dismantling systems since day one. It is hard to say exactly when all is lost and there’s no coming back. That could have been last week or it could be next month. I suppose that will be up to historians.
I think frogs in a pot slowly being heated to a boil is a better analogy. We were pretty fucked as soon as we went in the pot. If there’s any sense we can maybe jump out, but eventually we’ll die if we don’t act
I think in this case it’s like global warming; the “it’s gone too far to go back now” point has long passed, but it’s still possible to prevent potential unchecked snowballing harm.
“Don’t fight back, they’ll kill you” do you realize how insane that sounds when they’re deporting people to a death camp in another country also ruled by a dictator and you’ve been told repeatedly no one leaves that death camp. Ever.
I truly don’t think democracy has very long in this country. Either the people rise up or die under oppression.
Our systems have failed

Somehow, the people aren’t quite singing yet…
I asked my governor if they could waive the CCP law…for reasons. But yeah, I guess some people are going to have to be disobeying the law.
One amateur vs a handful of prepared pros is gonna mean one dead armchair infantry.
I support the effort to resist but think guns at the point of capture isn’t going to go like on TV.

I’d rather die in a shoot out with ICE than go to a death camp. I don’t leave the house now without my concealed carry.
Very cool, enjoy your stay in the gulag. Since that’s the alternative
alternative to what?
To resisting
Why do you think you won’t go to the gulag if you own a gun?
I’d rather die quickly with a small chance of taking out an oppressor than to die slowly in a concentration camp
